I have a Quark turbo X I Will be exchanging and I just received my Fenix PD31 which is now my new favorite light however I find it just a little to wide to use my coin pocket as a holster at work. I don't like using a holster cuz it gets caught on stuff same as if I use the clip and clip it on the out side and if I clip it on the inside of my pocket it gets in the way of the stuff in my pocket. Now I know the Fenix PD30 and the Quark 123^2 are small because they don't take 18650's but they only put out 230 to 250 lumens. Is there any light that diameter with more output?

With an extra four (4) millimeters more diameter @ 25.4 mm versus 21.5 mm, you can get the Nitecore Infilux IFE2, with a top quality pocket clip secured by two screws, 18650 capability, infinitely variable brightness control, and a lusty 345 lumens...

I want 22 mm or smaller my PD31 is >24 mm. I think I'm going to get a Quark 123^2 but I would like more output.

It seems you're too hung up on the lumens numbers.

50 lumens could be added to your PD31 and you wouldn't notice.

Single 18650 or twin CR123's with compact heads?

1 inch diameter? Try Jetbeam Jet Pro III ST BVC R5, 18650 & 355 lumens!
Also Nitecore IFE2 above using 18650.

Sub-1 inch diameter? Try:
Thrunite Neutron 2C XM-L, 2xCR123 for 340 lumens, but said to have quality issues?
Jetbeam BC20 R5 or S2, 2xCR123 for 300+ lumens.

You're right. Almost forgot.

2xCR123 size sub 1 inch diameter includes 4Sevens Quark 123^2 S2 for 200 lumens...

The overready light is 5x as bright and the same size. Is 1300 lumens enough?

Its diameter is bigger than the Q123X2 isn't it? I think the OP wants smaller AND brighter but smaller is the key. I'm very curious myself for the same reasons as the OP. I personally prefer 2 X CR123a to 18650 anyway.

Yeah it has to be smaller than 23mm. The Jet BC20 is 23mm the PD30 is 21.5 and the Quark 123^2 is a little bigger but not quite 22mm but are there any others 22mm or less?

Check out the EagleTac P20C2 Mkll. With the new XM-L
it almost burned the barn.
