I just looked up the ANSI FL-1 guidelines This light ramps down from 720 Lums to 5** something lums after three min. The ansi test starts its lums test after 3 mins. Is this why there is a *720 on the eagletac site then it shows 580 Ansi lums? is 580 after the ramp down? I'm cornfused.

720 is the emitter lumens. 580 is the actual out-the-front lumens.

When it ramps down after 3 minutes, it will measure ~500 lumens at the emitter. That translates to ~395 OTF.

I thought that ANSI isn't measured at the emitter, but 1 metre in front of the light.

So for what I know. It's when you turn the light on it's 720 on the emitter- and after 3 minutes it's 580 on 1 metre in front of the light.

Ah, now I see that ET has changed their measurement to ANSI.

Anyway, when you turn on the light, it's 720 at the emitter, while the actual ANSI figure is 580. After the ramp down, it drops down to 500 at the emitter, 395 ANSI.
