This might be old news but the preliminary [actually Nichia uses the term tentative] datasheets for the 2W Nichias are now posted on their website. Note that registration is required to download them. Unlike the Luxeons, these have lenses like most 5mm leds do. The white ones come in 35 and 80 degree beam angles. The package is very similar to an industry type TO-252 surface mount device but very slightly larger.

The soldering conditions info is interesting reading. It sounds like they may be a bit sensitive. For hand soldering they recommend baking in an oven for 24 hours at 65C before soldering.
