Better flood/wide beam than Olight M21?

Looking at lots of torches and reading lots of threads. Olight M21 seems to light up more area. But I have read some negative posts and some that say there are newer designs, so it's kinda confusing, especially since the Olight M21 does not use X-ML and this is supposed to be the best flood bulb.

Am I off track or is there a torch that accomplishes a similar beam but is a better torch?

Thanks
Jim

flashlight, and LED technology is advancing fast. the M21 is what you would call an older light by todays standards, using a SST-50.

i think its labeled as 500 lumens, but thats emitter lumens. OTF is more around 300 lumens.

anyways, if you want big flood, in a small package, look for a light using the more efficiet XM-L. there are plently of them out there producing over 500 true lumens.

and dont forget about XM-L drop-ins.
