hi guys..

i'm building an flash light using a body very looks like a 3d mag... but it's a fake mag..

i will try to use a sst-90 with the driver sold at DX, the driver works with 12v...

what you guys think is the best config for the battery's 3*18650 unprotected running @ 11.1 v? the amps will be enough?

what you guys suggest to me?

thanks for attention and sory for bad english....

3* non IMR is possible, but tricky.

to be safe, use IMR cells, then even two cells are enough, but 3 cells is better :).

If it is a 3D host why not use 3 lithium 32650s or 3 26650s? You will have the same voltage but alot more capacity/runtime. Might as well use as much of that space in the battery tube as possible.

If the 12v specified refers to the boards maximum input voltage, then three LiCo cells may be pushing it - 12.6v fresh off the charger - though under load, the cells would most likely be below 12v anyway. LiFe cells would fall under 12v even fresh off the charger.
