Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

When I leave my ZL on high (say 500 lm) for a while, eventually the battery will start to become depleted and the output will begin to dim (of course). However, when I replace the battery, my high selection is lost and the ZL winds up in some seemingly random setting. Yesterday it was 200lm, but today it went into the strobe mode. So every time I replace the battery in this scenario, I have to do the 6-double click tap & dance and reselect 500 lm.

This does not happen when the batteries are fresh.

This is more of an inconvenience than anything, but wondered if anyone else has had this experience.

The more complicated they get, the better they ain't.

Single modes &/or mechanical switches ftw.

The only time I've had trouble with any of my (several) ZLs is when the battery has been depleted. Maybe you have a dud battery or poor contact somewhere (either will result in the LE not getting full voltage).

My batteries are fine; I've tried a few of them. My other ZebraLights don't do this, but this is the only ZL that requires 6 double-clicks to set the alternate high mode, so I really notice when I have to go through that.

This is 100% reproducible for me:
1) With a fresh battery, turn the light on, say 500lm mode.
2) let it run until output noticeably declines, say 50%
3) turn off the light. swap battery.
4) Turn on the light. Second sub-level of high mode is completely random.
