I'm interested but have several questions.

I'll go ahead and ask a couple here and maybe a few more later.

What is buld life (advertised)?
What is the cost of a new bulb?
Do you have any beam shots?
Estimated battery life?

Thanks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I believe it would be several thousand hours
at 350hrs it has 90% of original brightness
at 700hrs it has 85% or " "
at 1000hrs it has 80% " "

cost of new bulb? Unknown, unsure if Welch Allyn sells them separate, but i hope so

I will do a TK version (Totally built, Ready to run) for $250 shipped, thats an additional $28 over the Kit. You will get a built and complete Mini-Hid Light, and a UCL Lens as well as 4 CR123 batteries. Some more pics. The pic of the HID in action is in a Brightly Lit Room, but the HID is so bright that it makes everything else look dark.

Wow, they look awesome!

How bright is the beam compared to some of your other lights?

unfortnately i was pretty blind yesterday after testing these lights, so i will compare them to a SNII W2 tonight by eye and maybe some LUX readings.

The stock reflector is plastic, modified mag reflector. It is rated for 12 watts, the HID outputs 10watts, so it should run for a while without any damage to the reflector. Otokoyma sells Aluminum reflectors. I have runned it for over 10 minutes with no problems, havent had the time to run it too long, batteries are cheap, but i dont want to waste batteries for no reason.
