South Dakota Mountain Lion Migrated to Connecticut !

This is a pretty amazing thing since supposedly Mountain Lions normally don't migrate more than 100 miles from home.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to go for evening dog walks knowing about this.

That's pretty amazing. Poor guy likely thought there was a girlfriend just around the next bend.

The lean, 140-pound male was killed June 11 when it was hit by a sport utility vehicle at night on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in the New Haven suburb of Milford... The animal was struck and killed by a 2006 Hyundai Tucson SUV. The operator of the vehicle was uninjured.

Wow, that's serious roadkill. I don't suppose the car was in great shape after hitting an animal that size.

The car is probably totaled, depending on speed, but a 2006 Tucson deserves precious little mourning. Very poor safety in a rollover, and only ok in other types of crash.
