My Jetbeam Jet 1 Pro V3 Flickers When I Change Between Modes. How Can I Fix It?.

I just bought a jetbeam jet 1 pro V3 from a member on the cpf marketplace.

It arrived today.

I turned it on and immediately noticed flickering when I change between the high, medium, and low modes.

I wish I was told about this before I bought it:shakehead.

Does anyone know a way to fix it. I know its not under warranty because I bought it second hand.

Please help.

What cell are you using? Mine does this on lithium ion cells but not for nimh. I always assumed it is normal.

I am using ultrafire 14500 rechargeables which came with the light.

My friend had the same light and it worked perfectly without this problem.

I forgot to mention that I tried both of the ultrafires that I got with it, and it still did the same thing. The batteries were fully charged when I tried them.

Im stumped.

try tightening the retaining ring on the switch? maybe take the whole switch assembly out and wipe everything down good ....

How do you take it apart?. What kind of tools do I need?.

I've never seen you light in person or in pics.... so, I can't say for sure. There should be two holes in the tailcap area.... if so, put the tips of the needle nose in there and (normally) turn clockwise to tighten.

Needle nose pliers are probably the only tools you'll need.

I actually figured it out. I took it apart last night and cleaned it all.

That did the trick...
