Re: Olight i6 Paladin

I find this an interesting light. But I am not impressed of the stated runtimes. Compared to, for example, Fenix TK21:

Olight i6: 80lm for 5,8h, 420lm for 1h
Fenix TK21: 172lm for 5h 10min, 449lm for 1h 50min.

I know that there are difference in efficiency between different drivers, but the differences seems to be too big, both have an XM-L emitter, and TK21 has around twice the performance...

I am also unimpressed, mostly because Olight/Itp are pretty good about using NORMAL batteries, instead of oddballs. There are tons of XM-L lights out there, so there is nothing special about this one.

On the other hand, if it used 6xAA batteries, it could be a good next generation A6 Polestar. Driven slightly harder it would equal the Polestar brightness using the MC-E, while extending runtime a bit. Could also have a better variety of modes with a true Low.

Well, in fairness, the i6 is substantially cheaper. :)

Re: Olight i6 Paladin

Could anybody please confirm the runtime on 18650 cell? 1h really is a pessimistic value.

Yes, it is very pesimistic. Runtime is more than 2 hours according to ANSI standard (till drop to 10%)
