Has anyone used the satistronics 5/10 Watt red LEDs? I'm curious how deep the red is or if its more of a red orange. Its lists 620-620nm which concerns me I want a really deep red ~650nm. Anybody have a review on these?

Ebay has some Edison 10w and 20w that are claimed to be 620-630nm

LedEngin rates theirs at 623nm and have some deep read at 660nm. Not sure if they're up to the power rating that you're looking for.

And the Luxeon Rebels at 627nm but you'll need many since they are not higher power.

The Satistronics are typical 620-630nm and not deep red. I've used a ton of these, and can verify they are not deep red. They also aren't cost effective considering LedSupply is selling 3-up Cree Reds for less than $13, so the Chinese LEDs are just a waste of money.

Taking a further look LEDSupply is selling a 3-up Rebel Endors at 660nm for $20. Pricey, but that's what you want, and you don't have to deal with E-bay. Not sure if Cutter has 3-up red Crees or not.

Thanks guys. Blasterman that rebel tri you linked above claims 660 but all the rebels are rated individually @ 627nm. How could that be 660?

I googled it. Apparently its just cheaper and easier to do it this way with automated pick and place machines etc etc.
