Quick question... does the FL1 standard require manufacturers to use a specific cell chemistry for Lumen/lux measurements?
Some of my AA lights (particularly the 1AA) the difference in output can almost double when using eneloops.

thanks

No. But it does required manufacturers to state the battery used in their FL1 test claim and/or based on the included battery.

If a light comes with batteries, FL-1 testing is done with that type of battery. If the light uses CR123 but doesn't come with any, it can be implied that lithium primaries are used. For AAA/AA/C/D, you can also assume alkaline unless stated otherwise, since most consumers use alkaline.
