If you are tired of playing with jumbo sized HID flashlights, do not miss this custom shorty!

Selling my custom modified SSK-33 HID shorty as seen built in this thread:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?314267-XECCON-SSK-33-HA-HID-35W-28W-Mod-to-a-Shorty!

It's slightly shorter than Mag 2D. It cost me $230 for the host+$40 tabbed 3x Panasonic 2900mAH battery (the highest capacity 18650 at the moment) +$20 new 1.5A charger (Original charger is 3A, too much for 3x18650)

cost me $290 total, plus quite a bit modding job involved to cut it from 6x18650 to 3x18650 size, take out the old batteries, rewire the new panasonic 2900 batteries in, some scratches at the tail hidden with black paint, its a great light.

Very good looking, compact & powerful. You'll be shocked how strong it is for the size, it did 135,000 lux @ 1 meter, the low mode 28W did 96K lux. Where similar sized 24W HID can only do 50K lux or so. Run time is estimated to be about 50min on high & over 1hr on low.

Asking only $349 PP gift + $19 shipping in US.
PP goods OK, add 4% to the total.
The factory metal box is too big & heavy, will not be included, it's way too long for the storage of this light anyways.

This is smaller than smaller in size than SST-90 based Vera2000 or other SST-90 crazy mag mods but will absolutly blow them away with 3500 lumens & 135K lux of throw. The lux is higher than LED King of throw SR90 but size/weight is about half of that.

It's 5000K, 2 mode, a better light than the $550 Microfire 3500KR, The microfire is single mode, 8000K kelvin, throws less & runs on less capacity 2200 or 2600mAH battery.

The only place I saw SSK-33 host was on ebay, only one seller, here it is, the host cost including shipping ~$230.

I never saw it elsewhere, not even Xeccon website, I suspect it might have something to do with being the Microfire clone, prevent it from being promoted widely?

Thanks hron61,

I've moved away from Leds to HID, as once I tasted what 3500lumens, 135K lux feels like,
it's hard to go back to leds, SST-50, SST-90, Triple SSTs & Triple XMLs, none of them comes close to this HID.
Especially at a size smaller than Mag 2D.
