1) Why are the liteflux so expensive?
2) Is HDS really worth the money?
3) Why so many surefire in the market place?
4) Neutral render color better than warm right?
5) Brightest single AA (1.2-1.5V) light?

Thanks!

Liteflux are no longer being made and have a sweet ui.

I don't have an hds but based on their popularity I'd say yes worth it.

I'd say high cri renders color better while warm and neutral are aesier on the eyes.

Don't know about last 2 but surefires are great and hold resonable value so people catch and release them and go on to the next thing.

1) they are no longer made and everyone loves them
2) If you are drinking the cool aid. Personally a great UI is not worth a low lumen / no neutral tint / huge sized cr123a light / high price tag (just my opinion)
3) because they have been around longer and have great marketing and a great sales force. They do also have great customer servce and make relaible lights.
4) yes, but unfortunately the spectrum is still incomplete (even for high CRI)
5) Assuming you are talking about total output (lumens) and not beam intensity (measured in cd or lux @ 1 meter) I would guess the Zebralight SC51 and Thrunite Neutron AA
