How about the Starlite made by Regal Systems? or the Skylite made by Regal Systems?
Here's a review I found on them..

I remembered there was a conversation focused on finding the ideal light for astronomy and thought this might be it, so I'm sharing it with everyone..
One version has two red LED's and one has two red LED's and also two white LED's.. the white LED's have been said are very blue tinted tho.. but for $20-$35 depending on the model, I figured it's still a great light..
Note: has a thumbwheel for illumination control..
PS. the link they provided didn't work.. I simply typed in Starlite by Regal Systems in Yahoo and came up with plenty of pages..
here's one.. http://flashlightsunlimited.com/rigel.htm
or you can do your own search.
but
and wow, look at all the possible LED color combinations the site offers!..
