I needed a stromger Task Light than the Dual LS SnakeLight I modded last year. Starting from scratch this time I used a LocLine 1/2in starter kit with a an extra segment set as the stalk, 4 Luxeon Stars thermal epoxied on a heat sink, powered by a Power Puck, mounted on a Dollar Store stainless steel bowl and driven with a 12V switching supply.

True Love... New Task Light and old modded Snake Light..

Who says you can't find romance on the CPF???

Oh, Yeah, the light next to the Snake Light stalk is an LS modded 3 AA light for finding things I drop on the floor...

Hey cool, and I can juuust barely make out the offset rectangular beam pattern! Like the innovative use of the inverted bowl, looks almost factory-made...

Thats one cool task light.
As Mr Bulk said, the light output looks great. Looks like a very ussable flood of light.
I like the look of those heat sinks on top.

That is a pretty darn cool /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif light. I've forwarded this thread to the LEDdynamics engineers.
