I recently busted the emitters when the bezel came loose. Would I gain much from xmls, or should I just send it overseas for repair?

I bought one with XM-L mod and it's by far my brightest light. It does not throw like it used to since the die of the XM-L is much bigger than the XR-E but it's still can point some distant object. What is really impressive is the huge amount of flood this mod gives. The hotspot is like 3 time what is used to be and the spill is gradual and intense. I would describe it as a giant and brighter SSC beam... I would guesstimate around 1000-1200 lumens...
