Hello!!
I need a little help to make my flashlight! I have got SSC p7 led and I have combined 4x 18650 batteries, capacity 4400mAh, voltage 8.4V. But I need driver to run LED with this battery pack. So can anyone tell me which driver would be good for? I eBay I found drivers for 5.5-12V input but they are designed to work with 2x li-ion batteries. This one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Drive...lashlights&hash=item2c5aacb88d#ht_2099wt_1139

Please help :)

I'm confused. 4x 18650 would be higher than 8.4V unless they are arranged so that 2 are in parallel and 2 are in series. In that case 4x 18650 cells would have a higher capacity than 4400mAh. Each one should be somewhere between 2200mAh and 3100mAh (for a total of 8800 on the low side). Which driver you need would depend on having that info. Also, make sure you are using quality cells. I hope the claim is not 4400mAh per 18650 cell. If so, just throw them in a garabage now because they are crap cells sold by a "fly by night" ebay seller.

I think they are connected in series and parallel, probably they have 6400 mAh, because in ebay description for cells was written 6400, but in manual 4400mAh :/ So those batteries can run that driver ? Or i need another driver?

It is sounding like it is a LiPo pack. I don't know anything about LiPo. Anybody else know anything about the LiPo pack?

Assuming 2200mah cells, if they are 2s2p then it would be a 7.4v (8.4v fully charged) pack with 4400mah capacity. (I have 4 of them) ala magicshine batteries. So you've got a bit confused there tre.

That driver should be fine and can be had cheaper if you want to wait for china post..

The pack is a LiPo pack which is why the strange capacity.

No its not, he said made from 4x 18650. Also lipo voltage is the same as li-ion anyway.

Thanks a lot for information!
And one more thing, where should add mode switcher button on this board? Can someone draw it on the picture, please?

No need for a power switching wire, switching is done by interrupting the power to the circuit via the normal power switch.
On a Maglite half press the switch and full click when the desired mode is reached.

LiPo 18650 have different capacity than LiCo. That is all I was saying. I had a PM with a link to the pre made pack and it looks like it may be 4S
