Greetings all,

I have lurked for quite some time and this forum is THE place for light! Thanks to all for great discussions--many of which take some time to decipher as one learns the lingo.

Here a question I haven't seen discussed: Many lights are LED and as semiconductors are subject to being fried by a Coronal Mass Ejection. Is this a concern to many? We're entering a highly volatile sunspot cycle that may produce severe consequences on earth. The web abounds with scientific presentations on this issue.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

AT

I'll let you know if any of my various LED fixtures get fried by such an event. I'm personally far more worried about the drivers getting cooked or cooking the LEDs, personally...
