HEPA Trick

Thought I would share this because I am sure there are OCD folks out there like me . I have always been bugged by the tiny dust flakes that are visible on the inside of the glass and reflector of my lights. I had gone to the range yesterday and dirtied up the front of my weapon-mounted Surefire P60 so I felt it was time to pull the glass out for a good cleaning. As much as I blew on it, still dust inside. Then I remembered I had one of those portable HEPA filters I bought at Target for my daughter's Allergies. They claim 99.99% particlulate removal at .3 micron size. I opened the light back up and allowed the HEPA to blow on the glass lens and down into the reflector as I screwed it back together and presto- no dust inside the glass.

I've found Anti-Static Dust Cloths from the supermarket to be very effective for wiping over surfaces.

Of course you can't use them to wipe the reflector surface.
