Hi,

Has anybody use sandpaper to make the reflector of the Gerber Infinity Ultra show the bare aluminium, hopefully make it reflect more light ? Does it help ? The reflect and the light is all black, so I would think the bare aluminium should work better...All input appreciated.

does the led emit light onto the reflector? Those 5mm leds beam forward, as far as i know

I own one & I don't think this will help. Are you displeased with the blue/ purple beam? I got lucky on the tint lottery & mine only has a hint of purple in the beam like my Arc AAA as well. You can use an SOS pad to sand the bulb & the blue/purple should almost disappear. The light is 8 lumens so its no powerhouse but, it is plenty of light in total darkness. At 25 hours run time don't leave home without it..!

You could give it a try but I doubt it would make a significant difference. If you look the the Fenix E01 with a similar emitter they removed the anodizing in the reflector area so maybe that has a reason.
