Question about CR123A batteries and power

I'm looking at getting a new led light (or maybe two) that uses a CR123A battery (or maybe two). I don't want rechargeables - I want it for times I'm away from (or lacking) power. If I'm going away from AA or AAA, I want to have plenty of extras on hand.

I've seen some that are listed at 1200 mA on up to some as much as 1500. Are they really that different? Are those numbers reliable? It seems obvious that 1500 should be significantly better than 1200, but I suspect there are other considerations beyond dollars per amp.

Can anyone give me any guidance on the various CR123A batteries by manufacturer or supplier? Does anyone have any recommendations? Or is this a completely silly question?

(I did try searching, but there are so many threads with CR123A that I got completely lost. Sorry if I missed something obvious.)

many thanks!
