Newb Question

Hi all. What are some suggestions for a general light user like myself to educate and bring me a little up to speed on the light world?

I'm already involved in a bunch of other forums relating to job, hobbies, etc., so my time is very limited. This site was recommended to me to find out info on the current state of lights, and for future reference and purchases.

I always recommend new users start with the Welcome mat, where they can quickly gain alot of basic knowledge, and make their time here more productive.

A really great starting point is Carrot's Guide to High End Lights. It hasn't been updated in a while, but is still invaluable.

Also take time to browse through the posts in CPF CUSTOM FLASHLIGHT BUILDER AND MODDERS. This is quite often the first place to look for state of the art developments.

Thanks for all the responses. Actually, I'm an American working over here as a contractor. I work as a paramedic for the Saudi Arabia National Guard Health Affairs. We are trying to help them get their EMS systems running efficiently here. Quite the trying job, to say the least. :banghead:
