Nice clean install, Pete. How does it sound when you fire it up?

Hmmmm

:)

I think you could program in the Close Encounters tune if you wanted !

People seem to like it as it sounds great as it ramps up - Raw Power.

The 600W stays in regulation for a few seconds ! and then runs for quite a while gently dropping Volts but the 1000W on only 1 pack of 10 cells drops to Low Batt warning very quickly then recovers as the cells warm up !!!!!
I think the Low Batt needs to be a bit less cautious for the 1000W on one pack. Probably OK for a 20cell double pack or anything inbetween. You could easily fit 12 A123 cells in the back with a little work but you would probably have to charge in-situ.

Like you say the X1 makes this super clean, almost too easy.

I love it.

Cheers
Pete

I should probably give that a try. It would be easier to do than "Greensleeves" which I've said in the past could be done. Ha Ha Ha.

Beam shot would be great. But like many comparisons between "normal" lights and things like this, it would probably end up as a series of black pictures with a dim brown spot somewhere followed by a picture of this light lighting up a football field. You'd have to compare it to 64623s or 64458s to get the other pics to show anything. The biggest light I've built was a 17-18 1/2D NiMH cell 64458 (~200W). That was insane. I've never been around one of these bad boys.
