Did this when I had some free time on the Bridgeport at work, I really don't want to invest another $60 in trits and I just don't have the trit bug.

Tube is like new, will trade for same. (edit: small dot of ano missing from cap. will include in pics)
Slots are located around the knurled part in the middle of the battery tube.
Milled to ~.080 deep allowing ~.005 of material in the center of the slot. No Breakthrough. 2x8 trits are ~.078 thick so they sit about flush.
If you're interested post an "I'll trade it!" in case PMs take a while to work out.
Edit: it's a flush tail cap.
