Request: Dimension of MB20 =SF M6 Battery Holder

Has somebody a SF M6 in the neighborhood? I'm interested in the diameter and height of the battery holder.
I'm just thinking, if I can find a combination of rechargables, which fit in this space (with the right voltage and good capacity).

The dimensions are aprox. 92mm (3 5/8 inch) in height with a diameter of aprox. 36mm (1 3/8 inch).
Keep the voltage drop over the bulb in mind when dealing with rechargeables, Brooks voltage charts might be helpful.
