Whats a good high output- long lasting (per charge) flashlight

Does it exist? Is there such a light that has around 700 lumen that could last 3-4 hours on a single charge with a 1 x 18650 battery? I would like some input on some options out there. Even a 2 x 18650 would work for me.

There are plenty of lights that produce the lumens you want. A simple method to get the runtime is to carry spare batteries. Depending on what you are doing and where you are doing it will help you decide how many spares you should bring. Maybe another member can give you the name of a specific light. I've noticed that the more light produced, generally the run time will be less. While many of build powerful incandescent lights, we also use low level lights around camp. Low level lights give much longer runtimes.

This flashlight uses one of the most efficient LED currently available, and even with 2 X 18650 only gets a 1.5 hour run time...
I don't think 3-4 hours at 700 Lm is going to possible with only 2, 18650's.

This one will do it, but as you can see uses a lot more/bigger batteries.

You need to either reduce your required runtimes, or lumen output, and find a happy medium, or carry a bigger flashlight (or spare batteries.)

Nitecore TM11, uses 4x18650, but quite compact :
200lm (18h), 550lm (7.5h), 1100lm (3h), 2000lm (75m)

The TM11 can do it, short length form factor. Also if it is too expensive, then look at the DRY triple XM-L (3 x 18650). Probably about 5hrs at 700 emitter lumens with Panasonic 3100 discharged to 3V (I have tested those batteries).

You said 2 x 18650, probably those $55 budget light triple XM-L can do 3hrs. Like the Trustfire TF-3T6, Sky Ray 818/850 etc.
