and found mention of a "Sample" kit for HID. I think one of those kits would be a good way to start making my own spotlight for lots less than a MaxaBeam or whatnot. Does anyone have links to a store online that sells these kits? The author mentions $250 and that seems reasonable.
Anyone bought one of these kits and have luck with it? Do you think I need more than just a ballast and bulb? What about rapid re-strike prevention circuitry? Is that normally included in the ballast? Thanks!
