Cat V2 46,000 lux > Cat V3 40,000 lux = SR51 40,000 lux

Sunwayman T40C or Olight M3X or budget Skyray STL-V2 48,000 - 50,000 lux

My 2 cents worth, the best bang for your buck (and I have become a real light snob and have spent heaps on some of the best throwers) is this http://www.manafont.com/product_inf...ainless-steel-flashlight-1186502cr123a-p-7898 I have been sooooo impressed with build quality and the HUGE throw, I never thought an XM-L could throw this well and it made me sell 4 of my lights because it made them look dim.
IMO they nailed the reflector for throw with no donut.

Skyray STL-V2 or FandyFire STL-V6 are out throw this Skyray Alluminum & Stainless Steel flashlight, It performs 5-10 minutes (1X18650) for max throw (depend on Vin).

The reflectors in the lights you mentioned are about the same size as the one I mentioned, so they wont throw any or much better - yes they will run for longer with 2 batteries that's a given (if you like looong lights) - but don't forget the XM-L has to be regulated as the forward voltage is is less than other Cree's - and it does run regulated longer than 5-10 min, do you have one?

I have an SR51 with XML and it is great. I dont live in an area nor have I been in one that it cant throw too. Few hundred meteres easy so far. Also has an excellent diffuser and has good quality all around. Comes in a nice case too. Id recommend it. Its simple two mode operation, reliable, and puts out a beautiful beam. Creamy white, throws a ton. Then lights up a massive area with the mentioned diffuser. Also, very strange but the low mode which lasts 11 hours doesn't seem all that dimmer than the high mode. I can't speak for the V3, but comparing my SR51 with a friend's Cat V2, I can't tell any difference in throw with the naked eye.

The beam is a bit nicer on the SR51, thanks to the OP reflector. The Cat is a touch ringy, and tends to have a donut hole unless you adjust the focus a bit.

The SR51 is somewhat lighter, and is a completely different form factor. Personally, I prefer the way the SR51 feels in the hand.

Well I'm getting 500 meters throw from this light, measured in google earth - the only thing I can think of its driven harder (but light is white not blue) and SMO reflector is more of a parabolic that's focused really well.
And I have measured it up against this 24w HID light a guy at work has and he was annoyed that he paid $200, and throw is the same (yes HID has more lumen's and lights up a bigger area) but at the culminated center its the same to my eye.
