Hey guys,

I just purchased my first hds light off another forum, an orange 170T :D awesome light lovin it so far. But when recieving it I checked the battery inside and it was a surefire 123a, but it all seems to work correct. It has its four settings and its bright. Can you guys tell me if this light is okay to run on these or should I use something different, something correct? Im new to hds like I said its my first non surefire light and I just want to make sure I dont ruin it.

Thanks in advance cpf!

Nothing to worry about. SF123A is just one of many re-labeled Rayovac CR123A.

Yep you can use Surefire 123 primary batteries in your HDS light no problem at all.
