Maybe someone with both of the acme threaded models can answer this for me.
I understand that the Rotary tail cap and the battery tube are basically one piece, while with the Clicky they are separately replaceable parts.
I understand that the Rotary battery tube and tail are not compatible with the Clicky, but what I don't understand is why the Rotary could not be used with a Clicky tube and tail.
With a Clicky there would not be the right electronics in the head for the Rotary tail, that makes sense, but from where I'm sitting in the peanut gallery it seems that the Rotary should be able to use the tube and tail of a clicky, and that the B mode would simply be indexed at the last setting it had been on with it's rotary tailcap...
