If you've ever listened to A Prairie Home Companion and heard the sound effects for the comedy bits, chances are you've heard Tom Keith. He was truly amazing at his craft. Originally a radio engineer (and a former marine,) he quickly became a featured player on the show and remained so up until his last performance this past October. He passed away suddenly last Sunday.

Goodnight sir, and thanks for all the smiles.

It's always sad to hear of the loss of such talented folks. The show did a nice job of honoring his work and his memory. The whole PHC show is a welcome throwback to programs of the years gone by. Lots of great talent, and it always brings a smile. I'm glad that they've provided a forum where people like Tom Keith could practice their skills.
