More trivia than news, but there's a repackaged version of the eternaLight Derringer being sold as the IQ Lite from a company called United States Thermoelectric Consortium (or, United States Product Development of Chico, CA). Looks to be functionally identical to the Derringer, except it's housed in a gray, non-translucent case and like the Derringer sells for $30.
