The TK11 is rated by Fenix at 8940cd and 181m throw.

but the PD32 is only rated to 5000cd and 141m throw.

Same XP-G R5 LED but the head jsut looks slightly narrorwer on the PD32.

Is the PD32 head and reflector area that much more shallow that so the TK11 @ 248 lumens is brighter compared to the PD32 at 315 lumens?
And also not as throwy as the TK11?

lumens is total output. So based on the numbers and if both are using the same emitter the PD32 is being driven harder on high. Throw is based on peak beam candle power which measures the brightest spot in the output or beam. Since the TK11 has a much bigger head and concentrates more of the available light into a tighter spot, (ie. more throw) it has a higher Peak Beam Candle Power number, but since it puts out less light overall is has less lumens.

I hope I explained that well

I agree with Hitthespot. What are you going to use these lights for? I have a TK11 and it is one of the few lights I have that has a simple UI, and it is built very well. It was the first quality light I bought and I believe it is discontinued IIRC. The PD32 is newer and offers the low modes. If you really need throw there might be models from other manufacturers that can do better.
