Cool! I was told that the Sabrelight would be outfitted with the new LED and optic assembly. This light has the same front end as a Black Knight proto some of us got to check out at the CA meet a while back.

It uses a reflector with the led mounted on the lens shining back? Is this the flashlight you were talking about Don when you made your own version?

6hrs seems a little short for 3C's...

These 1 watt LSes at 30 or so lumens, are they for real, or creative writing by the light companies? I've seen numerous claims of 25+ lumen 1w LS lights recently. I thought 1w get more like 15 lumens run at specs -- 30 would seem to be so seriously overdriving that I'm wondering if 1w efficiencies have improved.

Q binned luxeons are good for 30-39 lumens. I have about 20.

I want one! (the pelican, I have plenty of Q binned luxeons /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

i know my TL2 LED rivals my tec 40 in measured brightness and throw. it is impressive.
