PD31. 18650 or not?

Recently was given a pd31 & curious if I can run a 18650 3.7 rechargeable. I see nothing that says it's limited to 6vdc on the web page & couldn't find any posts regaurding this even though I'm sure there are. Any assistance will be appreciated.

I've got an 18650 in my PD31, and it's very happy. I just wish they had driven this thing a little harder for a bunch more lumens. Still, a nice light though.....
