I like the idea of using a rifle strap for the light. However, isn't the use of those glow in the dark O rings on the bezel a bit self defeating? I mean doesn't that decrease air flow around the bezel fins and lead to overheating?

Yes, it does decrease heat dissipation efficiency in theory. But how much would you expect from such small fins? Not to mention how much air flow could get through those fins while you're holding the light in general use. I think it merely make any differences, with or without the GITD O-rings. Your hand while holding the light "should" absorb more heat than that dissipated from the fins.

I could be wrong.It's just my thought.
