Recently i bought a Modded ARC LS1 by Samuel , i've noted immediately that was 50% brighter at 400mA that my new ARC LS-HP. Here are some tests that i've done with my luxometer ( from the same distance and with the same batt.) :

--------- 1xAA 1,5 Volt Alkaline -----------------

ModLS @ 400mA 90 - 92
-------------- 1xAA 1,2 Volt Nimh --------------
LSHP 0
LSmod @ 400mA 90 - 92
the fact that is really great is the incredible performance with ONLY ONE 1,2 Volt Nimh ( not fully charged ! ) it is as bright as the LSHP with 3 Volt Lithium !!! ( note that i have 2 LSHP that gave me the same results ).
I'd like that someone else that has this mod can confirm my measures.
