here's a few photos of vinhnguyens modded x9 I received last night, of all the lights ive owned in the last... ever, this is the most amazing search light, most of the lumens are in the hotspot, and there are a lot of them, not a tiny pinprick of light thrown a uselessly long way, but a big hotspot thrown far enough to see anything near enough to be an immediate problem, if and when he makes more of these i will be buying 2 more.

even the modded 7 amp sst-50 deep reflectored mag i once owned didnt compare to the way this light throws so many lumens

the first photo is about 50 feet the last the trees are about 200 feet ??

beam shots photos are hard to get right, these dont do the light justice.(the last one is more accurate)

I have the same light that I modded myself .... sometimes these cheap Chinese lights do break out
of the typical stereotype ;)

The X9 mods are pretty common at budgetlightforum. IIRC some are nearly touching 40k cd. Not bad for a 30 bucks single 18650 light. You get less trouble with the STL-V2 or V6 stock, but that is like $45 and dual cell.
