I was looking around Home Depot for something to make a battery tube out of for the mag 2c/3X123 conversion. I found it!

I couldn't find any cpvc, (referenced in this thread) my Home Depot (northern CA) said it is against code so they don't carry it.

I looked and looked and finally found something that looked right!

It is a plastic toilet paper roll holder (89 US cents), you know that white plastic thing with the spring inside.

I took it apart, you just kinda wiggle it while pulling, it comes apart rather easy as it is a soft plastic. I pulled the spring out of the bigger end, cut off the ends with a utility knife and slipped one tube inside the other. Put my 3 cr123's in that, what a great fit! It also fits nicely in the battery tube of the Mag 2c.

I even used the spring, I slipped it over the last cr123 as kinda an extension, it seems to help hold everything better.

Sorry don't have pics.

Rockker,
Nice find. Better than buying a whole length of pipe. I wonder if a papertowel roll would work with C cells in a D body. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
