vinhnguyen Cree XRE-R2 EZ900 Available Now, EZ1000 also available!

Last Updated: 4.16.2012

I am able to get EZ900 XRE-R2 LED now. They are expensive though! $45 for EZ900 pill only. EZ1000 are $35 for pill and reflector. Both will be driven to 2.1A.

I have played with many EZ900 and EZ1000 and my conclusion is if you want a P60 reflector XRE thrower then the EZ1000 is a better choice. You can barely tell any difference in brightness but the hotspot is a quite larger and thus lit an object better than the EZ900. I only see the EZ900 advantage when using a aspherical lens.

Is it possible for you to make a Dereelight "pill"? I'm currently running a DBS Aspheric with an XRE-R2 EZ1000 running at 1.4 amps. Also, are your drop-ins potted?

Thanks,

Andy

Andy,
A P60 Pill is a Dereelight Pilll. They are interchangeable. When you purchase Vinny drop-in, well just un-screw from reflector and screw into Dereelight. thats it.

2) $38 EZ900 XRE-R2, SMOOTH reflector, 1.8A Single Mode 3-13V Max

Is this just an interest thread or a sales thread? I'd like to send PP when there's definite production.

Thanks! :lovecpf:

Bigchelis,

Thanks for the information - did not know that. I'm currently running a NB XR-E R2 EZ1000 at 1.4 amps in my DBS Aspheric and it works quite well. Significantly brighter than my Deft EDC LR (they both project a die image of approximately the same size). Estimating about 60Kcd for the LR and about 90Kcd for the DBS. But a EZ900 running at 1.8 amps sounds worth trying. On a different trend I asked if Saabluster might offer the LR configuration (1.4 amp xp-c, 207Kcd) for the DBS but no definitive answer currently.

So is this an active sales thread? Can I place an order?

Thanks,

Andy

:paypal:

2) $38 EZ900 XRE-R2, Choice of SMOOTH or OP reflector, 1.8A Single Mode 3-13V Max

Smooth reflector please!
Also sent extra for the U2 XML repair. :D

BTW: I forgot to put my return address on the package, nor did I write PSM inside the package. So when a box shows up with no return address and a blown DD XML U2, its mine.

Thanks Vin!!!

:thanks:

Pics? I am interested.

The drop in looks just like anything other P60 Drop in. The EZ1000 already threw farther than the Thrunite Scorpion V2 With Turbo head. I am sold my first EX900 already which threw even better than the EX1000.

Pics are important regardless. Dropin pics plus your dropin VS other drop ins would be helpful to see.

If you had a 4B or 4C tint I'd buy one.

I will take
2) $38 EZ900 XRE-R2, Choice of SMOOTH or OP reflector, 1.8A Single Mode 3-13V Max

Smooth reflector please.

Also from your other thread.

I will take

5) $47 3.15A Regulated 2 or 3 mode 3-6V Max
Smooth reflector, 3 mode, 4000k tint.

I would like thermal injection for both, if possible, and some aluminum adhesive. I understand there may be a wait for parts and build times.

Paypal for $85 is sent (Unique Transaction ID # 6LT05502JS281933W)

I just placed an order of 25 CREE XRE-R2 LED straight from Cutter. So much $$$$$ YIKES! They provide the best LED quality though! Reflectors/Pills, Drivers and other parts cost more $$$$...I am broke LOL
