100 lumens + 100 lumens = 200 lumens?

Im thinking of modding a work light (flood) But I want to know what better for battery life and brightness multable leds or one bright one?

Yes, as long as the beam profile of the multiple LED array matches your preference, for a given number of lumens more leds driven at lower power will be the most efficient, produce the least heat, and have longer operating lifetimes. There are some caveats regarding running LEDs in parallel and matching the forward voltages, not sure if they'll apply in this situation, running them in series should pose no problems if you have the proper voltage power supply.

there is no single answer, all depends on particular leds you use.
