Help with JETBeam BC40 Batteries

I started using my BC40 with 4x CR123's, titanium innovations. I also tried 2x Ultrafire 2400mah 18650's. The Ti's work great. the Ultrafire 18650's are not reliable with the switch, they are slightly too long. Yesterday i got 2x Jetbeam 2300mah 18650's and they work wonderfully. I charge them with a xstar WP2-II charger. -- Adam

Buy 2x Redilast 3100 mAH from redilast.com directly.
Then buy Pila charger from say bugoutgearusa.com.

i got one recently and i use cheap ultrafire 3000mah with charger off amazon. doubt its 3000mah, but they do the job, but if you want better more reliable batteries buy some AW 18650s

Panasonic! Japanese-made cells... perfect for 18650 lights. Provide best runtime for the same rated battery capacity.

Don't buy that **Fire crap. Go for the best stuff, from Panasonic, Sanyo, AW -like that stuff.

XTAR 18700 uses Sanyo cell.. and coming soon new Xtar battery with 3100mAh Panasonic cell.

I bought the BC40 and have used it with some of the cheaper batteries with varied success. I bought good cells from Callie Kustoms, AW and Redilast and these have worked perfectly and are the best. I have decided to not use these batteries in the BC40 as I have other lights that I like better and I'm using these more expensive quality batteries in these lights that I use more often. Of the less expensive batteries that I have used, the Trustfire 2400 batteries with the black and red label with the flames on the side have worked the best. I have recently bought some Tenergy 2600 batteries that are proving to be good cells but they are flat top batteries and will not work in a two cell light. Otherwise I would be using these batteries in this light. I also have two Jetbeam 2300mAh batteries that have been satisfactory but I don't find them any better than the Trustfire batteries that are less expensive. I will not buy any Ultrafire batteries again, especially the 3000mAh ones which are the worst I have tried.

BTW. I just ordered 4 of the Trustfire 2400 flame batteries for about $17 delivered total for backups. I also bought 4 protected Tenergy 2600 and 4 Tenergy 2600 unprotected batteries and I'm really liking these. Like I said, the problem is the flat top but they work great in my one cell lights. These have been the best deal I have come across as far as cost to value. A 4 pack is only $14.99 delivered. Can't beat that price for the quality IMHO.

IMO the Trustfire 2400 black/flame is one of the best performers, especially for the price.

I prefer AW or Redilast cells. Yesterday a ****Fire battery got hot and started to smoke! I opened the light and threw it in the trash and ran outside! Buying premium batteries is a *good* investment!

I'd say a Pila IBC charger and 2 x AW 18650 (3100mah). just pay once for the good stuff instead of trying "this and that" and have problems

I have been using the jetbeam 2300mah cells and soshine charger in my bc40 for about 5 or 6 months now. Great run times and charges to 4.17 volts every time - great combo. The aw 2900 would give greater run times but are expensive.
