I have searched the web and found these two offerings of SST-90 mulitmode drivers:

From proffesional LED suppliers:
http://www.lck-led.com/High-Power-L...-5-Mode,-6-12v,7.5A,-SST-90/product_info.html

and from Kaidomain:
http://kaidomain.com/product/details.S010140

They would be going into a 2C maglite with a britelumens SST-90 heatsink and Fivemega wide deep tailcap for 2X 18650. I have 26mm maximum diameter to fit in the maglite tube, or 21mm to fit into the recess in the britelumens heatsink.

Anbody have any experiece or thoughts on these?

Well, I bought the first one. 7.5 amps will be plenty considering it's a C mag, not a D so heat sinking won't be as good. The Kaidomain one is too huge and messy looking. I'm excited about the 35% and 5% mode, as well as the strobe.

I won't know until I get it if it needs a momentary switch (temporary ground) mod, or if it is the type where it only draws power when the switch is on and pressing the button quickly cycles modes. Hopefully the second as there is no parasitic battery drain, you can turn the light off quickly, and you can cycle through modes much quicker.

Hi everyone

I`m driving SST-90 with this one :
http://www.lck-led.com/High-Power-L...--4-Mode,-6-13v,-5A,-SST-50/product_info.html

it is ment to be used with SST-50, but it puts out 5,5 Amps, which is enought for SST-90 also.
The emitter is bilt in homemade flashlight with very good heat dissipation ability, but it steel gets very hot after 30 min on full.
The flashlight is powerd by two 26650 li ion cels in series (from 4Sevens).

I was looking at driver "Ampere" from "PCB Components", but I`m not shure if 9amp version
should be used without dimmer module....??

But it would be perfect for me since I just want to drive my SSt 90 at full power....

If you use it without a dimmer module it runs all the time on full power. If you want modes or stepless output regulation you need to add a dimmer module. :)

yep true ... but you can ask them for more power .......I think they tested ampere to 11A from manuals , they probably just switch shunt resistor before led

Andere Ströme durch tauschen des Messwiderstands möglich (bis 11A getestet)
