Has anyone managed to open a TK10 head?

I have tried everything to get the head of a Fenix TK10 apart. Is it even possible? A friend brought it to me with a weird LED failure and asked me to swap it out. I've opened plenty of threadlocked lights before, but none of the tricks work on this one. I had it screaming hot with a strap wrench around the head and two steel pins clamped in the bench vise to hold the pill via the two holes. All I accomplished was screwing up the threads. Has anyone managed to do it?

Somehow got a burn spot on my TK10 LED. Thinking of opening it up and change the LED. Can i change the LED to a different type like the new CREE XM-L?
