neutral white vs. cool white?

what are the advantages and the disadvantages of both. I prefer NW because of the accurate color and dust penetration anything else?

Only advantage I can think for CW is a few extra lumens over NW, so I'll always pick NW when possible.
Cutting edge emitters just happen to be CW for max lumens, I would think if the technology would be perfect all emitters would have been neutral from the start.

I have to disagree. I have many "neutral" tinted lights that are far from it. Neutral still means green or purple to some manufacturers. I would appreciate neutral actually being neutral. I have many cool lights that are a lot closer to neutral than my supposed neutral ones...

Neutral white for up close and mid range illumination. A cold cool white for long range is best. I find cool white makes things stand out. I don't like that up close. It works great at a distance. The cool white up close is hard to look at after a long day at work.
