I just ordered a new light which has a Cree X-Lamp premium neutral white XP-G R4 emitter. I noticed after I placed the order that the company has essentially the same light but with a Cree XLamp Premium XP-G R5 emitter. Would one emitter be a better choice than the other? What would the differences be? Thanks.

The r5 is ~7% brighter. But our eyes wont notice a ~7% increase. We can only messure the difference. The neutral is a good choise. I think you will like it. I always go for the neutral version if i can choose. I think it's the best tint.

Thanks, jorn. I actually ended up changing my order to the XP-G R5 model instead. Apparently it will be a little brighter ... just hoping the tint will still be on the white side. (I just got a 4Sevens Quark MiniX, which is a nice little light, but the tint is rather yellow-green :green: .)
