M10A/M10R vs V10A/V10R?

V10's! I own one and those issues with the lack of detents have already been addressed. There's good ramping over the entire range of the control ring's rotation. Plus of course the V-series are SWM's top of the line models.

Is the "ONLY" difference between the 'M' and 'V' models the variable light control ?
(My OCD would not let me stop adjusting until the light output is just right.)

Yes, the M model has three and one strobe. V has variable but no strobe.
The new V10A has an XML emitter, not sure if the M10A's upgraded to XML too.

Yes, M10A, M20A have upgraded to XM-L too.
