I'm looking to get a small flashlight to mount to my helmet! I want a light that is under $55, runs on AA's or cr123's. It also can't be too big, nothing longer than a AA Mini Mag and it must have a TIGHT beam to cut through smoke. Thinking tir optics would be best.

Sorry about spelling, this iPhone kicks my butt!

One of the best 2AA throwers is the EagleTac P100A2 with the XP-E. Don't know if it will be too big for you though.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a thrower with a form factor similar to the ZL 600? I realize that the head would have to be larger.

I suggest testing a few LED's in a controlled smoke filled environment.
Try cool neutral warm and HCRI. Then try them in different types of LED's if you can. Cools reflect horribly to my eyes.

You save up, you buy several, you see with your own eyes what let's you see thru the smoke better. Don't depend on our advice. This could save your life and others. Study your choices and sell the ones that won't cut it.
Please

E21 or P100A2 should make you a happy

The javelins lux numbers are much much lower then advertised.

Hope you find what your looking for. Goodluck.
