I picked up a Sunwayman V10R and did a little video review of it. Its a pretty cool light overall. The dial is a little hard to feel if you don't look for it. Adding some texture to it would be a plus.

Very nice review indeed :)

I just got my V10R in the mail today. Seems we pretty much have the same exact pros and cons about it. I do love it though.

A pic of the V10R next to the light it replaced as my EDC:

Nice Review! But for the relatively same price, wouldn't a 460-lumen V10A be a better option? :)

Thanks. The Jetbeam has gone back to the motherland. I'd say this one is definitely better. button is better, construction is better, UI is a personal preference, but I think this one is better. Now I'm trying to talk myself into (or out of) and HDS light, but am having trouble swallowing the $200 price tag.

The V10A, V20A, V10R all are the exact same. The difference is the writing on the bezel and the size of the battery tube. Lego to your hearts content. The performance will vary depending on the voltage and current capabilities of the cells used. SWM has recently changed the way they claim performance. They now base their claim on 1.5V batteries and ANSI specs.
Did you mis-type that? I think the V10A is only 160 lumens.

The V10A is available in XP-G R5 for 140 lumens, or in the newly released XM-L T6 version for 110 lumens on an Eneloop NiMH, or 460 lumens on a 14500 lithium rechargeable battery.
As usual, Asia gets the XM-L T6 version first - the West will receive it very shortly, if its not already available...

nope, its 460 on a 14500. BOOM! :) I was going for a PA10 for 650, but the one-mode 14500 turned me right off and into this light! :)

You can order them off the HK sites and on Ebay. :)
